Pastor Bernie McLaughlin

Pastor Bernie McLaughlin has been in ministry since 1980. He and his wife, Nan, are married for 42 years. They have three children, all married, and eight grandchildren.

In 1987 he founded Cornerstone Church (now The Bridge Church) in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, upon his return to Scotland from South Africa where he pioneered his first church. He also has pioneered The Bridge Church in Irvine and a branch in the city of Glasgow.

His vision is to reach out with a message of faith, hope and love to the people of Scotland as well as to pioneer branch churches worldwide. It is to provide a place where God is given the utmost value and where people are given the utmost opportunity.

In order to accomplish the vision, Pastor Bernie is committed to winning the lost, discipling believers, establishing churches in the Word of God, mentoring and equipping young ministers and leaders, promoting the Gospel through radio, television and publications, and reaching out to the community and to the world with the love of God..

God spoke to Pastor Bernie regarding the continent of Africa and laid that nation on his heart and as a result of that call he now ministers there regularly. Pastor Bernie shares a message rich in faith and is committed to raising up Christian men to take their place in the community and the church. He has the heart of a father and desires to see all young men living with integrity and honour. A successful businessman before he was in ministry, he has a passion to see people become financially independent and in a country where many are unemployed and rely on the government as their source, he shares a timely message. Known for his practical teaching and preaching and his love for God and people, he ministers with conviction and sincerity.
